  JELLYROLL

Jellyroll backstageParticular praise should go to opening band Jellyroll. Stepping in at the 11th hour to replace a band that had to cancel, Jellyroll put in a fantastic performance in what is generally recognized as the worst slot of the day.
I doubt many in the crowd would have believed the band had only been playing together for four weeks.
If you would like to hear them again, try the following links.  There will also be 2 tracks from Jellyroll on the soon to be released CD of the 2005 festival.

Smoldering Sons, from Framlingham in Suffolk, stole the show as well as all the press attention. This upcoming duo at last got the exposure they so richly deserve and produced an amazing set of guitar and unorthodox percussion which blew the crowd away. Their psychedelic folk cum blues cum jazz set was unique yet accessible, eccentric yet consistent. Watch out for more of this band, they could be big.

One of the uk's finest up and coming rockabilly bands, The FatCat Trio gave us some of the best pure driving rock'n'roll we have heard in a long time. Playing a mixture of original tunes and classic rockabilly and rock'n'roll, the band have one hell of a sound for only 3 guys!!
Formed 18 months ago from a passion for Rockin', the trio are about to record debut album for Foot Tappin' Records.
