The Cock public house in Callis Street Clare were pleasantly surprised recently
to discover they had won not one but two prestigious awards from Adnams
brewery for the quality of their food and service.
The couple, who moved into the pub just over a year ago, are gaining an enviable reputation for their food and were suitably rewarded with Adnams two top prizes.
Simon, who is responsible for the kitchen, said “ It was a lovely surprise. We thought we might win one award because we have always prided ourselves on the quality of our food but to win two prizes was quite a shock”.
Victoria, who manages the bar said “We had a small celebration when we found out but we are planning something larger after Christmas.” The Cock awards were for “The Best Dining Experience” and “Overall Winner”
