High White Honkies
Terrafolk |

Last year, the festival's opening band was Outpatience, runners up in
the
Haverhill Battle of the Bands competition. This year, the organisers of the
Battle of the Bands competition suggested we reserve a slot for whoever
won the competition, and we are really glad we did.
The High White Honkies gave a sterling performance over and above our
expectations, and we a sure we will be seeing more of them in the future.

Billed as the fiery soul of the Small Faces, the passion of Otis Redding and
The Jam, the funk of Hendrix and Booker T, Fuzzface had a lot to live up to,
and live up to it they did! Opening the festival is the real short straw
for any band, but they proved they were more than qualified for this task as
they got the festival off to a cracking start. Once the haunting sounds of
that Hammond Organ powered out of the PA, the crowd couldn't get in quick
enough.

First time at the Festival, but these guys are no
strangers to Clare.
CRABS (Clare Rhythm and Blues Society) have
played many times locally, and supported Geno
Washington at one of our pre-festival fundraisers.
With many of their long term fans waving banners
at the front, the band put in a superb performance.
