We had a great line up this year with the headline band being the fantastic Edwin Starr and The Team. The sun broke through on the stroke of 12pm and with it came the largest crowd we have ever seen at a Clare World Music Festival. Top Bands and a top setting made Clare01 the best of the Clare Music Festivals to date. No fireworks finale this year, but then finishing with Edwin Starr, who needed them.

Geno Washington had the crowd on their toes. Right from the beginning he performed a class act. 
With every song he involved the audience. 
Geno liked Clare so much he offered to return to play one of our fundraising pre-concerts.

During her success in the Dance Charts with Joey Negro, Taka Boom came to Clare and knocked the crowd over. Stunning vocals, wonderful music and great dancing ensured that her act would stay in the memories of all watching.

Each year we have a cultural band from another part of the world. This year it was Tziganka, a Russian Folk Band. They performed acrobats, dances and music. It was just right relaxing in the warm sun listening to their music.

Every year the opening act  is from the Clare area. Normally a young band from a local school etc. In the past we have had 19335 from Stoke College, and with bands like that, it can be tough to match them. Chlorine did this year, blasting the festival open, starting off on a note that was echoed throughout the rest of a superb day
